Telecommunications Devices, Including Mobile Telephones

Dear Parents,

  Pritchard Junior high has had a policy that telecommunications devices (cell phones, CD players, cameras, games, or other electronic devices) must remain turned off during the instructional day and if confiscated must pay a $10 fine. Due to unforeseen discipline problems with cell phones the following changes will be implemented starting October 20, 2009.  If a student brings a telecommunication device to school it must be turned into the office each day.  When a phone is confiscated the first time the fine will be $10.  Every time thereafter it will be $15 and a parent must pick up the phone.  Parents may reach their child through the office anytime during the day.
